Speech Contest 2013 for contestants

This is the event produced by KOSMIC every year!... We are looking for both contestants and advisers. Here are the details below :) Please check this out!

 

How the SPEECH CONTEST is like?

 This is the event which is officially held every year by KOSMIC (Keio Organization of Students Members of International Center).

 You, the contestants, are going to make a speech which relates to the theme below, and give the speech in front of the audience (of course you don’t need to memorize your manuscript, you can hold it in your hand when you speak).

 Also, you are going to get your own adviser who is Japanese student in Keio University, so you can make your speech and also practice with him or her till the contest.

PLACE: Enzetsukan at Mita Campus

 

There are two sections; ①Beginner-intermediate level (JLP Class level：1～6)

　　　　　　　　　　②The upper level (JLP Class level：7～12)

 We are accepting less than 20 contestants in all.

 

 

Theme this year

「My Vision for the Future ～日本と私のこれから～」

How do you want to be related to Japan in the future?

What do you want to do while you’re staying in Japan as an exchange student?

Think about your future plans about the relationship between you and Japan. You can talk about both the near future and far future.

Here’s the information below about the schedule till the final performance;

 

October 7^th to 9^th

The explanatory meetings

  12:30～12:50  @Classrooms (hasn’t decided yet), Mita campus

               @Communication Lounge, Hiyoshi campus     

*We explains the same thing at both campus every day, so you can come to the one you can come.

*You’re not forced to participate, but we recommend you to come to get to know much details.

 The deadline for the entry

 Please send an email to this address:

In the email, please write:

*Your name

*Your class or program

*Your email address, both the cell phone’s one and PC’s one

　October 22^nd

 The deadline for sending back the entry sheet

 If we get you email, we send the email back with the entry sheet as the attachment.

 Then please fill it and send it back to us.

 Please be sure that you need to write your pre-manuscript (about 500 words) to fill this sheet.

　October 23^rd to 30^th

 The interview with the speech contest staff

 We manage the schedule with you by email and have a short interview with you.

 This could be the selection to decide the contestants.

　October 31^st

 The announcement to the result of the selection

 We’re sending you emails with the result, and if you’re selected, we can tell you who your adviser is. Also we gave you back your pre-manuscript which is checked and corrected by Japanese teacher.

　November 1^st

  The meeting time with your partners

  We hold the small gathering (maybe after school).

 

　　↓ While this period, you should improve your speech with your adviser!
